Viewers have blasted Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas after they claimed she praised EastEnders star Emma Barton “through gritted teeth”.
After her critique of Emma’s dance with professional partner Anton Du Beke, some commented on the “tension” between the two women.
Emma danced the couples’ choice to the Pussycat Dolls’ Right Now.

And, while the rest of the judging panel seemed to like the dance, Shirley was less enthusiastic.

She said: “Generally throughout it stayed synchronised together. Nice use of music, small details which I always appreciate, and generally one of your better dances.”
Is Shirley just physically unable to praise Emma? Not an ounce of feeling in those comments.
One viewer, however, commented that Shirley was “cold”.
They also said: “Shirley’s comments to Emma were literally through gritted teeth.”

Another said: “Is Shirley just physically unable to praise Emma? Not an ounce of feeling in those comments. Suppose it’s better than the mouthful the poor lass got last week.”

Others commented that Shirley had “issues” with the actress.
