Shannon Briggs is facing a ban from being in Logan Paul’s corner for his fight against KSI on Saturday.
The 47-year-old former heavyweight champion has been training Logan Paul for his fight against his YouTube rival.
But Briggs was involved in an altercation with KSI’s head trainer Viddal Riley and his team after the weigh-in on Friday.
Briggs punched Riley’s cousin while Riley had to be restrained by security staff at the event.
Jeff Mayweather, who was also part of KSI’s training team for the fight, has now revealed that a complaint has been submitted to the California State Athletic Commission, who could now prevent Briggs from being at ringside with Logan Paul.
‘What happened was, Shannon actually punched Viddal Riley’s cousin,’ Mayweather told The Sportsman.
‘And he punched him in the face.
‘When you seen that video where Viddal was trying everything he could in his power to get loose, you know to try and get at Shannon… that’s what happened.
‘The one thing is that, Shannon probably won’t be in the corner tonight. We’re trying to talk to the commission about what he did.
‘I mean, it made no sense, because he also pushed Amer.
‘It’s so stupid, like I said everything’s about him.’
