The Russian authorities have announced that one person has died and two have been injured after the alleged bombing by the Ukrainian Armed Forces of the city of Valuiki, in the Russian region of Belgorod, near the common border.
“The Armed Forces of Ukraine have shelled Valuiki. The air defense systems have responded, although there has been some damage on the ground. According to preliminary information, one civilian has died. Two wounded are receiving medical assistance at the scene,” the governor wrote. from Belgorod, Viacheslav Gladkov on his Telegram channel and has picked up the TASS agency.
According to the head of the region, an electrical substation in the city has been damaged as a result of the attack, cutting off electricity supply to residents.
In addition, eight private houses and three cars burned down due to the alleged Ukrainian attack on Valuiki, a city with a population of around 30,000 inhabitants.
“The nearby Valuiki RES (regional electricity network) building and facility staff have not been damaged. Currently, consumers are switching to standby power supply schemes,” the company said in a letter, as reported by the agency.
