If there’s one event you shouldn’t miss tonight, it’s the Laver Cup. This tournament, organized every year, brings together the best players on the planet and this year, it will have a very special flavor since the tennis legend, Roger Federer will say goodbye to the world of tennis. A few days ago, the 41-year-old Swiss announced on his social networks that he would retire after this umpteenth competition which is being held in London from today until Sunday. And what could be more perfect for one of the greatest players in the history of his sport than to finish in a doubles confrontation with partner Rafael Nadal?
The two men are hugely fond of each other and despite their incredible sporting rivalry, they are friends in life. A match necessarily full of emotion for Roger Federer who should be able to count on an audience committed to his cause and in which we will certainly see Mirka, who accompanies him everywhere and his adorable children. The love story with his wife, whom he married in a beautiful ceremony in Basel in 2009, began in 2000 and since then they have become parents of 4 children. The first two to arrive are Myla and Charlenethese little twins, born in July 2009, a few months after their marriage.
The twins often present at Wimbledon to encourage their father
At the end of 2013, Mirka and Roger announce that they are expecting a new child, but once again, it is not one but two children who arrive in their family! This time it’s two little boys, Leo and Lenny which will make the couple happy. Four children whom they protect as much as possible from the media, but who are often present in the stands for their dad’s matches. One of their last appearance took place in 2019 during the Wimbledon tournament where we could see their adorable little faces (all photos can be found in the slideshow). They were also seen at the Australian Open in 2016, but their favorite place remains the London lawn.
Certainly present this evening in the English capital to support their father, Myla, Charlene, Leo and Lenny will certainly be one of the attractions of the evening!
