The leaves are falling, there is a chill in the air and Christmas is just around the corner.
And there’s one drink that sums up this Autumnal feeling – the pumpkin spice latte.
As the cinnamony, nutmeggy, gingery flavour has grown in popularity, we’ve seen it spread into other foods.
But this one might be a step too far – pumpkin pie hummus.
Yes, someone has mixed the chickpea-based dip with pumpkin and spices.
The pumpkin pie dessert hummus is available in America and it doesn’t look like it had spread to the UK just yet.
Made by Boar’s Head, the hummus was spotted by Alex de Campi on Twitter.
He said: ‘I have found it, the worst food.’
The description on the Boar’s Head website says: ‘Boar’s Head Pumpkin Pie Dessert Hummus is crafted with creamy steamed chickpeas, real pumpkin, ground vanilla beans, organic sugar, and savoury Fall spices like cinnamon and nutmeg.’
People on Twitter agreed with Alex that it didn’t sound like something they wanted to eat.

‘Either there aren’t chickpeas in there and it shouldn’t be called hummus, or there are chickpeas in there and it just shouldn’t be consumed,’ one said.
‘I’m going to have nightmares about this,’ another said.
Danny Deraney added: ‘To Alex and everyone on this god damn thread. On behalf of my Lebanese people, THANK YOU FOR KNOWING WHAT IS RIGHT!’
But a few people said they’d tried it and it wasn’t bad.
Kameiko said: ‘Taste like chickpeas with pumpkin pie. Yes, I did buy it. Yes, I did enjoy it. Haha.’
Leigh added: ‘It’s actually delicious. There is a key lime pie hummus and it taste exactly like key lime pie… true Floridian here. They clearly make it with magic.’
