MADRID, Sep. 18 (Moose Gazette) –
The authorities of the self-proclaimed People’s Republic of Donetsk have denounced this Sunday the death of nine civilians in attacks carried out during the last day by the Ukrainian Army against areas of the region controlled by pro-Russian forces.
The Territorial Defense Headquarters of the Republic has indicated that “nine people have died and 17 others have been injured as a result of artillery attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces against the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic.”
Likewise, the pro-Russian authorities of Donetsk have highlighted that the Ukrainian forces have restarted this Sunday the artillery attacks against the capital, Donetsk, without there being any information about victims for now, as reported by the Russian news agency TASS.
The war in Ukraine broke out on February 24 as a result of the invasion order given by the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, who days earlier had recognized the independence of the self-proclaimed republics of Donetsk and Lugansk, located in Donbas (east) and the setting of an armed conflict since 2014.
