Kylie Jenner has denied sending ‘cease and desist’ letters to people making products with the phrase ‘rise and shine’ on them.
A clip of Kylie singing ‘rise and shine’ to her daughter Stormi turned the reality TV star into a meme.
She has totally run with it since, dropping merchandise with the popular slogan on it for her fans.
Recent reports claimed she became so attached to the saying she didn’t want anyone else to use or make money from it, sending ‘cease and desist’ letters to a mum in Australia who puts the phrase on T-shirts.
But the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star has denied taking any such legal action.
The young mum tweeted: ‘Guys, please don’t believe everything you read. I have not sent any Rise and Shine cease and desist letters.
‘Rise and Shine was an unexpected moment.. I had a lot of fun with it, and I have laughed so hard seeing everyone’s memes since the video came out a few weeks ago..
‘There are no law suits, no cease and desist letters. Happy Sunday.’
The Australian woman claimed to The Gold Coast Bulletin: I used to really like her, now I’m like are you kidding me. The design wasn’t about her, it was just a shirt with a different holiday fee.
‘They must have just done a blanket search on everyone who sells similar products. Unfortunately, we just don’t have the money to fight something like that and she has enough cash to take us down. It’s not worth it.’
Meanwhile Kylie, who recently split from Stormi’s father Travis Scott, showed her support for him by going to his Astroworld Festival with friends.
A source told PEOPLE: ‘Kylie flew to Houston with a group of friends. She returns to LA this morning.
‘It was important for her to support Travis’ festival. They are still very close and often hang out with Stormi.’
The festival was almost immediately sold out and the line-up included Gucci Mane, Migos, Tay Keith, Rosalia, Young Thug, Pharrell, Sheck Wes, Megan Thee Stallion and Da Baby.
