The Denver South Rebels earned a win when they beat the Gateway Olympians 49-41 on Friday.
Erick Covington led Gateway’s passing attack with 146 yards through the air, tossing one touchdown and one interception. Covington also added 138 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Covington’s most reliable receiver in the game was Lanier De Ruso, who caught two passes for 58 yards and one score.
Rj Webster paced the Gateway rushing attack by racking up 224 yards and three touchdowns in the game, averaging 7.5 yards per carry. Webster also tacked on 45 receiving yards.
